Brightkite lets people in real-time see where their friends are, with the use of a social network you can add friends and share experiences and make new friends based on the areas they visit on the regular. Giving users an inclusive experience, Brightkite can be used via the internet, text messaging, WAP, e-mail and with an IPhone application.
Brightkite is a new medium to keep up with friends and places in your area, by seeing where the ones you care about the most are spending their time. There is also an RSS feed that allows you to filter content and you can find the people/friends in specific categories. Working across other social networks like Facebook, Flickr and Twitter, Brightkite is becoming the social network that you can apply to real-life by seeing what’s going on your neighborhood.
