Released last week, Wake Alarm is the latest beauty from our friends over at Tiny Hearts. Aiming to make waking up easier, the new alarm clock personalizes to the level of difficulty you have getting up in the morning. The alarm is shut off by either a Slap and Flip, Swipe or vigorous Shake. Each mode requires you to react differently – for the early riser a light tap to switch on snooze, but for the heavy dreamer the shake mode leads to a hearty physical shake of your phone (at various levels) until the alarm turns off.
The method of alarm shut off is accompanied with great variations on sounds as well. “Boot Camp” comes with your personal drill sergeant wake up call, while more subtle tunes such as gentle rain fall and old-school music can be a preferred morning noise for others. Minimalistic, beautiful, simple and intuitive, and did we say beautiful – that’s how we describe the design behind the product.
We were lucky enough to test the app before its release, with a personal one-on-one with Tiny Hearts founder Robleh Jama, and the first words we used to describe it was “WOW”. It had the sense of the beautiful gradient filled weather apps on the market today, but the simple and clean interface that makes it still easy to use instead of the bulky and boring alarm apps on the market.
The Wake Alarm is available for $1.99 on iTunes during the launch sale, but will sell for $2.99 afterward.
