Designers Dyuho Song and Boa Oh have developed an idea to bring power with you on the go. We all are technology hounds and as a result the inevitable is the loss of power on our crucial devices at even more crucial times. But the design of by these two brilliant minds could bring to us the Window Socket.
This small, easy to carry with you, portable solar-charger comes tag-teamed with a suction cup, to harness the power of the sun so you can harness power for you gadgets. Perfect for use on windows or out in the wild the device does exactly what you would expect it takes in solar energy and converts it to electricity so your device can remain charged or perform backup battery duties.
Currently still in development and concept the Window Socket takes eight hours to reach maximum charge. Hardly a solution unless you’re on a 13 hour flight and won’t need access to power until you land. We’re hoping the designers continue to work on building out the solution so one day we can all use the sun to power back up our smartphones.
