Callido Learning is a young startup at the intersection of technology, creativity and pedagogy. Founded by ex-IB students who have had varied international careers, at Callido they strive everyday to give every student that a-ha moment. They do it using technology and creativity. And pepper with decades of teaching experience and cutting-edge pedagogy, so high-quality learning actually happens.
This involves:
- creating tools for diagnosing and bridging gaps in knowledge, skills, and concepts necessary to learn effectively;
- designing and building interactive and adaptive digital content to aid the actual learning, with the direction set by teachers who understand pedagogy; and
- developing aids to help schools and teachers leverage all of this in the classroom to create an integrated, efficient, accessible, and pedagogically sound learning experience for students.
Their first offering, Callido Basecamp, is a skill-building course which equips young persons with crucial skills such as research, critical thinking and communications. The course is currently aimed at students who are about to enter the IB Diploma and is closely aligned to the IB Diploma’s teaching methodology, ATLs and grade descriptor requirements for the highest grades.
