Would you like to own a smart robot like R2-D2, C-3PO, or Chappie? Perhaps you think it belongs to a realm of Hollywood or science fiction? Or that you need to wait another 100 years for technical progress to converge on affordability? But Lego parts, motors, and sensors are readily available these days. So what are you waiting for? Ah yes, you need AI. You need that mysterious robotic brain to bring your creation alive. In which case your wait is over.
ELFi Robotics is a new startup lead by a 15-year old kid from Ukraine. They’ve started a Kickstarter campaign to finish work on his DIY Robotics Platform. The pearl of the platform is an Android app which works as the Brain; understanding spoken language, visual objects, and connected to brains of other robots. With this idea, Mark Drobnych (creator and finalist of Google Science Fair 2014) is able to animate and make smart almost any LEGO creature built with popular intellectual EV3 bricks.
ELFi Robotics offers a Robotic Platform for learning and building intelligent robots. This includes:
- Brain App
- Robots
- Platform Tools
- Apps & Building Instructions on their RoboMarket
- Training program
Together with the Brain app, ELFi Robotics is finishing their books for kids and programmers which simplifies understanding of Intelligent Robotics.
