In a few sentences, tell us what your start-up is all about!
Shoka has designed a smart bicycle bell that will transform cycling culture everywhere; making biking safer, easier, and more social.
A small device easily attached to any bike, ShokaBell can differentiate between approaching cars and pedestrians, help the rider to navigate through traffic-laden cities, and, with the Shoka App, monitor cycling progress and let the rider know if their bike has been moved.
Shoka’s ultimate goal is to promote cycling culture across the globe–because a world with more bicycles is a greener, healthier and happier world.

Let us know a bit about your team, who are the key team members and what is their role?
Daniel Falus, CEO
Before founding Shoka, Daniel worked as the Head of IdeaLab at McCann Erickson as well as for various digital agencies. He founded his first startup at the age of 18, and co-founded WiW.hu, once the biggest social network site in Hungary. Daniel loves to travel, has backpacked all over Latin America, and rides his bike everywhere. Daniel’s most important job, however, is being a father to Juli and Simon.
Tamas Leposa, Lead Developer
Tamas is a multitalented developer and problem solver with years of experience in development and related methods. He likes to vigorously dissect concepts and study the pieces until he understands them. Testing, hacking, thinking outside of the box, and striving for the maximum are the stuff of his work ethos. Tamas may not always have the right answers, but always tries to ask the right questions.
