We recently discussed NodeBeat, an app that visually displayed music and allowed you to create your own rhythmic melodies. Today, we wanted to share with you Decorated Playlists, a website that is dedicated to the close relationship between music & design.
The site is run by Simon Foster, a web designer and former DJ & record collector from London, whom is using Decorated Playlists as a creative outlet for his knowledge of music.
Each playlist, as described on the website, is “an art-directed blog post, but with music instead of words.” On each post, a mixtape playlist is provided for you to enjoy with interesting artworks as background visuals to the beats put up by Simon.
The site is developed in HTML and CSS3, so for the older browsers – sorry you’re out of luck. If you want to hear some great music, head over to Decorated Playlists and see and hear what Simon has to share.
