Imagine your in a car, the GPS is on and you hear that familiar robotic (yet slightly human): “Turn Right in 400 meters, Keep Left, Merge in 250 meters”. That sometimes irritating yet informative voice can soon be replaced by Clarion’s new solution: A Custom Voice for your lack-luster GPS systems.
Instead of those annoying GPS voices telling you which direction to go, the Custom Voice by Clarion allows you to customize navigation guidance voices to that of loved one, your favorite artist or a famous actor. By plugging in a SD card into your PC and visiting the Clarion provided webpage, users will be guided on how to record and format their voice in accordance to the common navigation cues found on your GPS system.
Although the opportunity to use a Custom Voice is available for Clarion’s Smoonavi series only, it’s exciting to see how technology can be catered in the future for any number of devices to allow for a comforting and more personal voice when using different platforms.
