We love pictures! We love pictures so much that companies like Instagram and Pinterest have captured our hearts as the go-to places to discover, share, be inspired and learn through visuals. Persona uses the power of photos to describe everything “About You”. It is the app that tells you a hundred things about your friend you may never have thought to ask and at the same time, it tells the world about you. And it does all of this at the speed of sight.
Persona describes itself as “everything you are, in pictures” and it does this by empowering users to brand themselves through a visual online presence comprised of photographs – We view it similar to an “About Me” Pinterest board. When you view the images about your or a friend you get what Persona describes as a “three-dimensional story” of a person in a very short amount of time because of our abilities to feel and have emotions through imagery and photos. Think of it as a way to read an “About Me” but without reading and comprehending it all in seconds.
Persona asks questions like: “How would you tell your story in portraits?”, “What’s your favorite food?” and “What’s your favorite flower?” It won’t show you where people are going or what they might do in the future, but rather looks to share the “idiosyncrasies that make you who you are today” through pictures. Their website tells us in the long run the application could be used to “figure out what birthday present to get your business associate, or what flower a particular, ridiculously attractive female friend of yours likes best.” Imagine looking for a loved ones’ favorite flower during Valentines Day, but not remembering what it looked like – Persona could be the platform to find the visual answers you need about everyone.
Persona is an app that is to be released soon on the iPhone, but is inviting you to signup on April 5th to be fist in line and grab your favorite username – so you can celebrate yourself in pictures.
