Scoutzie, Dribbble, Behance, Creattica and the numerous other portfolio sites available are great tools for designers to get attention, show their work and be a part of a community. But, if you’re a designer and don’t have the time necessary to build tour own personal website there aren’t too many great places to find templates that can appeal to a designers needs. Sites like Theme Forest, Themify and other WordPress based template sites deliver great quality but don’t go beyond responsive design for there templates.
Iconify is the only portfolio platforms that turns creative professionals into icons (literally). Your portfolio will be a website and a downloadable app that is easily shared with others. Founded by Bronson Taylor, Lucas Taylor, Doug Logue, Brian Wentzloff, Iconify puts a modern spin on portfolio management and display by re-imagining how its used, viewed and shared.
As a group of designers, developers, photographers, and just all around creative’s, the founders of Iconify needed a better way to share their work. Iconify is that responsive (able to handle any screen resolution or device that it encounters) platform that includes being downloadable as an app on mobile devices. It is also minimal in design and allows viewers to focus exclusively on the work being presented. Check out the example portfolio on their site, and be sure to see resize your browser to see it in responsive action. Since portfolios are also marketing tools Iconify makes it easy to connect with future clients by providing obvious contact information, the ability to share the portfolio easily, and the analytics to understand the traffic it receives. Bronson Taylor, CEO of Iconify tells us:
“Using the latest technologies we built Iconify to remedy the broken portfolio experience by making it compatible with all devices, platforms, and screen resolutions.”
