Brizeo is an activity-based social app to connect people with similar interests at home and abroad. Brizeo allows you to make connections anywhere in the world, post pictures andvideos, chat, and invite your friends to the app.
People resort to dating apps to meet others for things that do not include dating. Dating apps are one-dimensional: most people who match will never meet or continue the conversation beyond a few days. As a traveler or student studying abroad, it is difficult to connect with people in similar situations that are not in your immediate vicinity. Locals don’t want to meet someone from a dating app who is transient.
Brizeo matches people with similar interests and allows you to create a community of long-term friends and connections. Brizeo is action-plan-oriented and goes far beyond dating. Brizeo combines and utilizes the best features of apps like Facebook and Tinder (while simultaneously removing negative stereotypes) to meet new people outside of your friend’s circle.
The idea behind Brizeo originated when David and Josh were traveling in Europe and Asia. One of the benefits of travel is the opportunity to engage with people from different cultural and demographic backgrounds and befriend people who aren’t in our pre-established community circle. We realized that dating apps are fairly popular overseas and very popular locally, but they are used for more activities than originally intended. In essence, people are trying to create a means of communication of a platform that differed from its initial purpose.
Brizeo takes the best features that are associated with dating apps and other currently used social apps, adds new ones, and removes any negative connotations and sense of obligation. Brizeo can be used by people intra-city who want to connect with others locally. Similar interests, such as outdoor activities, drinks and dinner or business networking, can be selected by the user so that you match with people with the same goals. You may meet someone who becomes a good friend, or just share information, or perhaps even find a future partner.
There are no expectations; there are no limitations. Anything is possible but without the pressure. You can choose the extent of your connection and not be embarrassed to say that you met through or used the Brizeo app.
