CloudFTP is a recently successful Kickstarter funded project that is now in production. It is able to wirelessly share any USB storage device’s data with your iOS or Android device. USB devices are the most common ways to store digital media, but getting it to connect with many of the modern technologies is much of a hassle because of the need of a computer peripheral for connectivity.
CloudFTP creates an ad hoc network (or joins an existing one) to allow for you to share almost anything. The pocket size adaptor turns any USB device into a wireless file server, enabling you to share files with WiFi-enabled devices. It not only can make sharing with your iPad, iPhone, Android and computer easier, it can also connect to popular online Cloud storage services (iCloud, Dropbox and box.net) to automatically connect to the internet for backup and synchronization of data.
Although the time left to become a backer on Kickstarter has passed, we’re excited to see and share this product come to life and become available in market for $99 very soon. The device really is a useful tool and piece of technology that will greatly improve synchronization between apps and web software. Learn more by watching the video below.
