When a child comes home from school or as summer dawns and kids all over the world start to clean out there desks their bound to bring back sheets and sheets of drawings that they are proud of and parents will adore. They’ll get pinned to kitchen refrigerators, framed or shared with family and friends, but what else could be done with these little Rembrandt designs? Child’s Own Studio is taking these custom creations and creating custom stuffed plush toys.
Founded by Wendy Tsao says it “started with a simple idea: to make a recognizable comfort toy for a 4 year-old boy based on his drawing. It was an idea that launched my home-based craft business. Since then, I’ve custom made a few hundred soft toys based on children’s drawings, each one as unique as the child who drew it.”
Celebrating the imagination and creativity of children, Child’s Own Studio gives parents a chance to build a custom comfort toy. Instead of having to go to a local toy store and trying to build a strong relationship for a child with a branded character; custom plush toys help build direct, strong and quick relationships by utilizing a recognizable hand-drawn piece.
