Business students are walking around the globe and growing in numbers amongst us yearly; and now they have a way to connect with each other in order to collaboratively work together to “Beat the GMAT” and find out who they are competing against. In 2005, Stanford undergrad Eric Bahn started Beat the GMAT – a blog detailing his personal preparation for the GMAT, which eventually evolved into a collection of business students (a global community) providing their own suggestions for the greater good of everyone.
Now, Beat the GMAT has launched MBA Watch, a social network for up and coming business students striving for their own MBA’s. MBA Watch connects business students and current business people all while consolidating a wealth of information within their forums to help, educate and bring together people.
MBA Watch consolidates information about business schools, students and applicants into one platform. Similar to a Facebook page, individuals can follow their school and learn what others are talking about in reference to the school, all while keeping up to date on what the learning centre is showcasing through their social media feeds. For users, MBA Watch already provides a mechanism for applicants to share their current scores so that other students can see what their competing against. The data compiled by MBA Watch will then be averaged to give everyone a birds-eye view of how users are doing in various schools and industries.
