You’ve just met the most gorgeous individual on the online-dating site you trust the most. You probably passed a few messages, shared a witty one-liner to grab his or her attention and exchanged numbers. What’s next? A date of course. Or maybe your BFF has a friend of a friend you just have to meet, and agree to a mutual meet-up at a near by restaurant.
In either case, and any dating case the possibility of what happens next can go in any direction. But it’s when things aren’t going as expected, or the one you’re meeting isn’t quite what you’re expecting that things can get a bit awkward.
If you want to avoid those situations where sitting around and making up conversation to avoid wasting time waiting for a date to end, then you need this: Tiyo (which stands for This Is Your Out) is a button that fits on your keychain that initiates an automated call whenever pressed.
Push the Tiyo during those nightmare of a date situations and your smartphone will ring; but this is where it gets fun. You can pre-set what the caller ID will say beforehand. Maybe the babysitter is cancelling and you have to run home? Or maybe there’s a medical emergency and the hospital is calling you? Your creativity decides what story you want to build to walk out of a date as quickly as possible.
To make it even more “normal” a pre-set script can be recorded so you can have a natural conversation. Thus helping avoid the weird excuses, and give you the way out you need.
The eject button for awkward social situations is currently on Indiegogo looking to reach a goal of $100,000. Pretty lofty aspirations, but is a tool to help avoid the nightmare situations that happen to all of us worth every penny?
