In a few sentences, tell us what your start-up is all about!:
Electric bikes with mid-motor, hydraulic disc brakes and an impressive 46-mile range thanks to the same lithium batteries used in the Tesla Model S. Makes you feel superhuman.
When was your startup founded? And what stage is your startup currently at?:
Jan 2015
Who are your competitors? And what is your start-up’s competitive advantage over them?:
Flattens Hills. Slashes commute times. Destroys lycra clad wearing biker’s egos. Makes you substantially more desirable.
Let us know a bit about your team, who are the key team members and what is their role?:
Pete Leaviss studied engineering at University in the UK and has been covered in oil and grease ever since. Mostly for work reasons. Mostly. Pete is strangely happier when all the pieces of his motorbike or pushbike are scattered over the workbench rather than fully assembled.
Someone who would appreciate a broken appliance over a brand new one on any gift giving occasion, his interest in making something work more efficiently and perform better has always been a core interest. Pete’s been working withbikes for as long as he dares to remember. Living near the Scottish Highlands for years has also developed his dedication to big mountain riding.
Robert Rast is an instrument pilot, gearhead, and engineer addicted to performance. He eats battery acid, spits fire and would rather sleep in the garage. Ok, only the last one is true, but the first two are likely to appear in his eulogy.
With years of experience in the aviation fuel-saving industry, Rob is passionate about green technology and beautifully efficient design. When Rob isn’t flying he’s riding his bike through some of the toughest terrain on the planet. Even here his passion for flying comes through, usually accidentally and over the handlebars.
