NewsMap is an alternative way to access and read news, with the varied ways we access and be updated on current events, this is another mechanism to be on-top of the worlds news.
NewsMap is a visual way to interpret headlines and information of the day. It’s a giant puzzle or mosaic box grid with headlines in large font to allow you to quickly scan for the articles that mean something to you. The news items are also color coded by category to help you interpret this mind map. Each headline is accompanied with an excerpt of the article and a direct link to the feed, for you to read more.
The most important, or pivotal news of the day is found at the top and in the largest font to grab your attention. While other news pieces may be found deeper in the system, which may be frustrating. However, the visual mind-map approach to receiving news is a nice approach and may appeal to a specific audience that loves receiving information in this way.
