One’s happiness, health and well-being has been reported to be directly influenced by one’s posture. Those living lives with great posture feel the benefits of reduced chances of back issues and other physical ailments, but more importantly it gives one the feeling of stronger self-worth. A new wearable tech product called UpRight is designed to help attain better posture to feel more confident, positive, and prevent future health issues related to the back.
Currently the project is seeking funding on Indiegogo. The little piece of hardware affixes to a users lower back to monitor movements. When utilized the hardly noticeable device sends a little vibration alert to ensure proper posture is realized at all times. Think of it as a little reminder when you’re beginning to slouch.
With the alerts helping to guide daily lives with better posture it will naturally cause muscles in the back to remember what is and isn’t good. The results are a reduced chance of back pain and as the reports suggested positivity in life. It’s suggested that the product be used for 15 minutes per day when beginning the process, with time-lines increasing as back muscles become stronger. Within a few weeks it’ll natural to maintain good posture without the alerts.
The device is built with an accelerometer, sensors, and a proprietary algorithm to process each persons data. This means it can be used when at work, out doing errands, or when meeting friends. As all great new products this one too works with an app that provides a place to review data and grab real-time updates.
UpRight has already surpassed it’s goal but you still have time to grab your discreet device to build stronger back muscles and posture on Indiegogo.
