Creating an online store has a lot of options for would-be creative merchants. From WP-Ecommerce and Magento if you’re looking for a large catalogue solution, Shopify if you want a pre-structured platform and now ShopLocket – which makes selling anything online as easy as embedding a YouTube video.
Founded by Katherine Hague and Andrew Louis out of Toronto, Ontario; ShopLocket wants to make selling anything online super simple and in a way so you can start selling in minutes. “Simply create a product, embed it in any website, Facebook page, or blog post, and start collecting orders! ShopLocket helps you leverage your social networks, display your product in a beautiful way, and ultimately make more money.”
Currently in Beta, using ShopLocket is risk-free with no publishing fee, but for administration and handling a 2.5% on-going transaction fee is applied for using the platform. You can handle payments by connecting your account with PayPal or Stripe whom each charge 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction as well. A very small price to pay so you can start selling in minutes as opposed to setting up an entire WP-Ecommerce site or paying monthly to use Shopify – although we find both of those options are better for large inventory catalogues.
When you first visit ShopLocket and signup you are flattened by the beauty of the interface presented to you. ShopLocket does a wonderful job at simplifying the shopping cart creation process. With clear identifiers and only the useful tools at hand, it’s no wonder that they can claim “We don’t over complicate things. We’re focused on delivering the best possible experience for selling individual products from any website. No unnecessary complications. We’ll take you from signup to selling in minutes.”
If you have a few products and want to get started selling right away, ShopLocket is a great way tool to help you make money selling products now! With its easy to use user interface and an easy-on-the-eyes design, you not only can start selling your products quickly and easily, but the process will keep you from tearing your hair out – they have done an incredible job at making it just that simple.
