While GIF’s were the source of countless funny and quirky moving images online, Vine is quickly becoming poised to be the next medium to capture and share memorable moving moments. Jumping on the popularity of the new app, Vinepeek and VineRoulette let you see how people are using the service to possibly inspire or just down right entertain.
Vine, “the Instagram of Video” can be that app you get where no friends have joined yet, but you can do some cool things with, then again you just might not know what to do or film. The new creative medium outlet lets you take six-second clips of anything you want, but you of course probably to do something better then just film your pen on your desk. Vinepeek and VineRoulette let you see what others have done and sneak a peek at what could be possible.
In real time the web platforms show random public clips capitalizing on the growing network. You’ll see people eating, people jumping off all kinds of things, musicians entertaining and pretty much anything else you can imagine someone can do in front of a camera.
We’re still not sure if Vine will grab mainstream attention like Instagram has or will it be a fad that drops off like Draw Something? But one thing’s for sure it is a fun app, and sites providing a peek at what others are doing on the Vine only shows how fast it’s growing in popularity right now.
