Launched in April of 2012, Bitrix24 is the affordable intranet for businesses with 12 employees or less, at a cost of zero dollars. Combining the capabilities of Yammer (social intranet), SalesForce (CRM), Facebook (likes), BaseCamp (project management), and DropBox (file sharing) Bitrix24 does it all in a pretty package.
Bitrix24 delivers everything in one place for your team (messaging, file storage, calendar, and to-do lists) with an incredible activity stream to show you what’s going on right now or what happened while sleeping on the office couch. But unlike the many other intranet options on the market, Bitrix24 really shines with an intuitive design and interface that is far from rickety and the un-viewable eyesores growing on its competitors. The tasteful design choices make it more then an effective system, but a system worth using.
This social network in the cloud is also usable for teams larger than 12, but get ready to pony up $99 that comes with unlimited user accounts and 50GB of storage or $199 a month for much larger companies, providing 100GB of storage and even more feature-rich options. A perfect compliment for small businesses or startups that want an intranet site but don’t want to allocate the funds to maintain one themselves. It comes with 5GB of storage as a free-product, but additional storage can be added to accounts.
Bitrix24 is described as providing a “transparent collaboration and communications platform for your company” allowing its users to communicate with team members, work through problems together, manage projects, keep track of contracts, etc. And, they could also use Bitrix24 to socialize, share some personal photos or things going on in their lives, rant on about the things that are pushing their buttons, or plan company events.
