Intellisocket is a smart power outlet that offers a simple solution to control energy use. Users are able to accurately manage, monitor, and report on their electricity usage. It is the first of a family of devices that will allow anyone to manage their energy more efficiently while also increasing the safety and security of their home.
How It Works
Intellisocket sends energy data and status information to the Intellisocket cloud software via a home Wi-fi connection
The Intellisocket Cloud software monitors, reports and triggers alerts that can be sent to a phone or viewed from an on-line dashboard
There are three easy ways to connect, configure and gather data from the Intellisocket devices:
1. Direct via Ad-hoc network – The Intellisocket can be setup to run as a Wi-fi access point. This is useful for initial setup of the device as well as troubleshooting a home Wi-fi connection
2. Wi-fi connection via WLAN – Connect to the Intellisocket devices via LAN. This will allow users to track device status, trigger immediate events (Switching on and off) and configure device settings.
3. Via the Internet – Connect to Intellisocket devices via the Intellisocket cloud software. From anywhere in the world a user can log in and track the current status of all their connected devices, produce reports, set-up schedules, review alerts and safety messages, and implement power saving recommendations.
