Just over a year ago, inspired by the family watchmaking business, two buddies set out to create a lightweight, stylish watch made of wood and leather.
Boman Farrer and Ryan Krantz have plans to design and manufacture watches made of wood and leather. LunoWear, the name of their brand, will be focused on bringing together fashion and an active lifestyle with the timepieces.
Through their extensive research and manufacturing process, Boman and Ryan found that the materials that best fit their idea were leather and wood.
“Leather lasts a really long time and wears well. Ebony wood is extremely dense and bamboo is incredibly flexible which creates a durable case that will last. Wood and leather compliment each other nicely and neither one wears the other down.”
The watches have been put through extensive testing outdoors and have withstood high durability standards, which is important as they wanted a product that reflected their love of nature and an active lifestyle.
